« on: Monday 13 April 20 20:41 BST (UK) »
I'm try to find out what happened to (Walter) john lane born april 1893 in wellington Somerset. I know he served in ww1. In a newspaper cutting from jan 1918 his mother stated he was broken and sent to a military hospital in dundee.  I cant find any trace of him after the war.  Thank you

Have you his exact date of birth, to look for him in 1939?

Also, which paper did you find him in?

Added:
I can see the newspaper article referring to Mrs Lane and a son and another son in Dundee.  Is this definitely him - were there any other sons?

You have bracketed his first name Walter - was he generally known as John.

Were his parents Walter & Anna.

Yes parents were Walter and Anna   down as just john on 1911 census. Not mentioned in his dads obituary in 1937
