Does anyone know where an online tree is for this person?
« on: Tuesday 14 April 20 19:10 BST (UK) »
Hey, so there is this guy in my family I cannot get any information except from DOB (date of birth) and DOD (date of death)
The person is James Cunnigham Whiteside who was born 03/09/1923 and he died 02/12/1989.
He married Janet Carfray Mclean in 1945 and they had 3 children together.
I only know James' mothers maiden name was Cunnigham. I can't view his birth, marriage or death since it is within the privacy years.

You can't view his birth cert online but you can buy a copy of it when the Covid19 crisis is over

You can't view his birth cert online but you can buy a copy of it
but you will have to wait until after the lockdown because the certificate ordering service is currently suspended.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

There does not appear to be an online tree for this person directly but there is one for whom I believe  are his parents.   The tree only shows children born 1903-1916 but I think this is because they aren't able to view certificates of younger family members to confirm.

Parents are William James Whiteside who married Agnes Cunningham 10/4/1903 St. Quivox, Ayr.   A daughter Jemima Cunningham Whiteside was born 12/3/1916 Station Row, Rankinston (the latter where James Cunningham Whiteside born in 1923).  In 1916 William shown to be an Underground Fireman.

Agnes Cunningham bc.1880 Barrhead, Renfrew was the daughter of John Cunningham and Annie Fagan/Fegan.  Family then moved to Ayr.

The online tree is on Ancestry in name of William James Whiteside born 1878 Tarbolton, Ayrshire.

However, until you can finally purchase a copy of James Cunningham Whiteside's birth certificate to confirm the above is my own supposition.

I'm no good at coming up with 'links'.

However, I've already told you the tree is on Ancestry and what to enter to bring up the tree.

If you are not a member of Ancestry then you can't view it (and same would apply if I was able to provide the link).
