Hi, I have just got back doing family history and am looking into the Earle family. I am trying to find out Information on Thomas Earle born 1911 in  Mawnan and his wife Grace born 1822/1823 Wandron. I really would like to find marriage details but have had no luck. I have enclosed 1861 census with all the family,but surname is spelt wrong. Any help would be great,thanks. Christine.

Thanks everyone, I originally had Grace Vincent,but changed my mind, but now I think he was married twice, first to Ann, I will get back on Ancestry and fix up the tree and see if it works.

agree that you can rule out Grace Hooper, Okehampton is in the east side of Cornwall, not near Stithians.

birth regs for William & Elizabeth give mmn of Oppy so likely marriage in Stithians 12 Oct 1836 for  Thomas Earl & Ann Opie, witnesses James Oppy & Thomas Vincent.

So James Alfred was born about 1853/54  maybe Ann died around the time he was born.

his birth was registered same quarter Redruth vol 5c pg 229. Not finding it on the GRO index though...
