I just thought I would put this on in case anyone is interested in the family of J.H. Horne esq, surgeon of Springfield Taranaki.
Browsing newspapers for Kent, England, I found 2 marriage announcements for 2 of his daughters, marrying in 1859 in Taranaki and Napier. They were just above something I was looking at and I spotted "Taranaki". Obviously a wealthy family, who presumably still had family in England.
