Jam-Jar, Cup of Life and Wivenhoe (what wonderful names you have!): thank you so very much for all this great and really helpful information.  It's a lot more than I was hoping for, and will really help to add some colour to the lives of these 'minor character' brothers (they are a bit distant from my direct line) in the family history I'm writing.  Loved the detail of the bride's and bridesmaids' outfits in the newspaper account of Bill and Mina's wedding!

Hi, My grandmother was Rene and she married pop in 1958 at the Perth Registry Office. I have a picture somewhere with the date and a poem that pop wrote about their wedding. His parents had the first chemist shop in Fremantle Western Australia. I think his mums name was Kaisa Gouda but I’ll have a hunt around for any other info I can. I only stumbled on this looking for info on nans first husband, Henry Enderby Jackson. Cheers and hope that helps a bit
