George Hills

Hi I am hoping someone can help me confirm a theory about my ancestor George Hills.

Firstly I hope someone can locate a marriage for George to a woman named Elizabeth in the Boughton under Blean area possibly in the mid 1660s. He had three children who were all christened in Boughton under Blean between 1667 and 1670, these were:

Matthew christened in October 1667 [my ancestor]
Sarah christened in August 1669
Thomas christened in June 1670

There may be others that I am not aware of though.

I have been trying to locate a christening for George for a while now but think I may now have found it and I am hoping someone will be able to help confirm my theory.

There is a George Hills [son of William and Ann] christened in Charing on 24 June 1636. This George would certainly be old enough and Charing is only 8.8 miles from BuB. It is also possible that George and Elizabeth married there and maybe had more kids before Matthew in 1667.

What does everyone think? Am I onto something here?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Matt
