Many thanks for replies.

I have a delightful photograph pf my mother (age 3) and her sister (age 5) in a school group c1894, but there seems to be no indication of which school it would be.

1901 the family were resident 137 Westgate, but prior to 1908 had moved to the Anchor Inn in Belmangate.

I have googled previously but didn't think about Facebook, will give it a try.

Many thanks

Hi You could post the picture here someone might recognise the school for you. Not sure if Teesside archives holds any record's but you could try searching their online catalogue

Stay safe

Ceeoh, my ancestor lived in Belmangate, I found a school admission record for him on FindMyPast, it was dated 1913 when he was twelve years old. He went to Middlesbrough High School. I appreciate that doesn't help with primary schools but you might be able to find something on FindMyPast if you haven't tried it already.
