I wonder why Alfred's middle name was Bolton, when father Henry and other sons Thomas (Faiery) and Henry junior had Bath/Barth as theirs?

I thought maybe from Henry Bath Fairy Snr's parents Thomas Bath Fairy & Rebecca who married on 10 April 1854 but her maiden name was Cullip

I started my search for the parents looking for a Fairey-Bolton marriage and was led astray by the earlier mentioned Fairey-Boulton one until you discovered the correct ones.  So no clue about the Bolton name as yet.  I was wondering if it was some kind of a mistake and Alfred should have been a Bath/Barth too, but he stuck with it throughout his life, so maybe not.  Although his brothers Thomas and Henry had the Barth name, his brother Walter doesn't seem to have had a second forename at all.

John Barth Fairey of Bourn - I have come across him before and discounted him as not mine, but put him into my Strays folder.  Strangely I was just working through my mountain of family history notes and emails today in an effort to file them sensibly and found a reference made about him from another Fairey researcher.   ::)
Thanks for all this information, which I will add to his notes.
