Here are 2 cards to 'Salamat' of 1917-18, sent from the then Seaview Hotel at Singapore.  I would assume the authors were holidaying, for the hotel at the time was a popular beach resort along the east coast shoreline.  Hope of interest.

My family lived in a house addressed 'Salemat', New Barn, Longfield, Kent in the 1930s.  I have a photo if interested.
