Help needed re Oliver Jones

Oliver Jones was born 20 May 1891. No idea of his parents names. He married Mary Louisa Neal on 4th Oct 1913 at Libanus Chapel. They lived at 17 High Street, Argoed. She died in 1918 and he married again to my great grandmother Susan Ellen Jones. As far as I am aware nan used to say they both met in Tredegar when he used to deliver either the milk or the coal. I know he was a collier at Gwrhay Colliery. They lived at No. 6 Gwrhay Cottage but moved to 5 Brynglas Avenue in the late 20's or early 30's. He died 16th April 1931. I know his brother and his wife used to live 'up the road' in Brynglas and I remember the wife being referred to a 'Bessie' but that's all I remember.

I know that seems a lot of information for somebody who hasn't got much information on him but I'm going on what is written down in the family bible and what cousins have said.

I have been searching for months and I found an Oliver Jones born in the same area with parents called Richard and Elizabeth but this is NOT my Oliver as far as I am aware.

Oliver and Mary had some children but after Mary died I have no idea what happened to them. Dennis, Sylvia Elizabeth and Doreen (Christine)

Freebmd has 2 births in the June qtr 1891

Merthyr Tydfil - mothers maiden name was Lloyd - possibly died same qtr or maybe 1894

Bedwelty - mmn was Mathews

You need to buy a copy of the 1913 marriage cert to establish his fathers name

I believe Bedwelty is possibly the right one. I'm pretty certain it is Bedwelty.  In the bible it says he was born in Argoed which is near.

This is the only Jones/Matthews marriage in the Bedwelty RD but spelt with 2 x T's not 1

There is no 1901/1911 entry with parents Thomas & Elizabeth.  The only one is the one you found - Richard & Elizabeth

However - checking the births of their children shows Elizabeth's maiden name was Mathews

Looking for a marriage - one in 1879 - Elizabeth is Mathews (one T).  If these are the right parents then Oliver was a twin

Their Oliver died in 1962. Not the same one.

With limited information it's been rather challenging retrieving any Information.

There is no Oliver Jones death in 1962 with an 1891 birthyear

I found an Oliver Jones born in the same area with parents called Richard and Elizabeth but this is NOT my Oliver as far as I am aware.

Why do you think the above?

It is the only Oliver on fitting in 1901 and mmn is MATHEWS. There is a twin brother.
