Glinny - are you able to tell us the names of any children of James and Rose please - and when the last child was born if you know.

(This may help with her mother's given name and also help with finding Rose's correct death - giving us an approx birth year.)
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

So far we are assuming Rose is from Westmeath she may not be, all we know is she was working as a servant in Westmeath when she married.
The more Glinny can tell us about her the better.

The Rose Scally born about 1891 with father named Patrick - MAY have emigrated to USA in 1914.
There is a person of the correct age emigrating - and then shown on the 1920 census in New York, working for a family as a maid.

Unfortunately birth place just shown as Ireland.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

Sorry all, didn’t realise there was replies to my OP ( it normally sends me an email but not this time)

I don’t have any other info on Rose at all. I’ve explored as much as I can think to do. Don’t know where else to go with this one I’m afraid.

Thank you all.

Can you even confirm if those are the correct deaths?

James Marshall born Feb 1897 to Thomas and Anne Weir Raheenmore
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1879/02929/2073347.pdf
Baptised Feb 9, sadly no note on who he married
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000635098#page/28/mode/1up
Appeared to have moved to Knockmore possibly after Thomas died
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Westmeath/Ballynagotr/Knockmore/1784664/

If he moved back to Raheenmore after he married that would match the death in 1929 of James with wife Rose.

The death notice for Rose in 1963 doesn't give her maiden name but she had a son.
Buried in Tyrrellspass.

But these would not help with Rose’s origins  :-\

Can't see Family Search at the moment, hoping to establish that this James Marshall is the one who married Rose Scally via her maiden name on index of son's birth. At least we could be more confident of her age.
