Can't find a marriage for John Clifford and Ellen Keating, probaby in Limerick

John Clifford and Ellen Keating had a son, Michael, born 5 May 1840 in Limerick (according to his death cert and obituary in Iowa USA).

Another John Clifford and Ellen Keating had a son Michael, baptised 4 March 1855 in Ballylanders, Limerick.

It seems unlikely that they are same couple, having two sons named Michael. Can anyone find a marriage for either of them?
