I have managed to find Charles Victor Westin. He was born 28 Oct 1837 in Västervik and was a seaman. I think it actually says Westerwick in the Census.
His name was Claes Viktor Westin. Father was Anders Peter Westin and mother was Ulrica Catharina Lundgren. Anders was a wood turner shipyard worker.

Claes' Birth:
http://www.rootschat.com/links/01pl8/ - nr 84.

1849 - Examination:
http://www.rootschat.com/links/01pla/ - the whole family.

1859 - Anders death:
http://www.rootschat.com/links/01plb/ - nr 28

1861 - Examination:
http://www.rootschat.com/links/01pl9/ - it says he is married in England. Last line.

Claes being a seaman had some records in the database. He actually jumped ship..... 3rd image.

This one shows his first sailing.
It states that he was a cook and left Västervik 2 Dec 1854 to Rio de Janeiro. He was 17 years old and his wage was 10 Riksdaler.

He jumped ship in July 1859......"R" = Rymd = Escaped. The place name is "?Ewry". The transcriber couldn't read the place name.
He left Västervik 12 Aug 1857 and he was 20 years old and earned 25 Riksdaler.

Wow Wow Wow!!  How do you do it.......Many many thanks Ian. When he jumped ship it could be       ?Ewry =  Newry N. Ireland? As this was in 1859 by 1861 he was in Cardiff Wales ( a seafaring port) getting married.

I have tried an online translator for Anders death notice but not getting too far, any chance you can translate, only if it is not too much trouble.

Many thanks again

Cheers.
Newry isn't a port so I believe it could be in Wales.

I thought it was as I found this description online..................The Newry canal, slowly but surely, makes it way into into Carlingford Lough. The building of the canal helped Newry to become an important port; evidence of this is seen close to the banks where many warehouses are situated. The stretch from Newry to Carlingford Lough is known as the "Ship Canal" which operated from 1761 to 1974
