On the Borden documents, which purport to be true copies of the original death certificates prepared by the Massachusetts Secretary of State, there is a space to record the name of the informant but it was left blank in both cases.

I see now thank you, I didn't see the actual death certificates before.

So the only thing I would get is the informant, assuming the information has been provided.

Thanks very much everyone for your most prompt responses.

All the information is on the image, and there is no informant there.  The person doing the transcribing is just going to look at that same image.  Don’t waste your money.

Later Massachusetts death records do typically have informants.

Thanks for your reply.  It was the informant I am interested in.  The entry on the death record I have does not have a column for informant.  Whilst the death cert does include the informant, this information is not always completed.
