I have John Siddon born Earl Shilton 1740 --  his baptism states parents Ralph and Susannah

but the only Ralph I can find is married in 1776 --- to a Susannah   so that is no good.

I have John marrying in 1764 in Glenfield.. and that does seem correct...

so is the Ralph to Susannah Tomson in Glenfield  an incorrect transcription....

I see one or two have Ralph born 1715 in Chesterfield...  but I cannot find proof of that... on FindMyPast

or Ancestry just in other peoples trees.... which I just will not copy without due evidence...

I dont know..

xin  any help would be appreciated

Well  ----- a Worthy Search this has been...

I still haven't found Ralph and Susannah ---- but though they are pinnacle to moving upwards -- it was also VIP to verify that my line actually was correct.

The Katherine Yaxley link.... was a strange one... as there is the marriage and then the son... which made me wonder if Katherine Yaxley and Susannah are not one and the same person...  so I decided to temporarily work them as if they were one...!!!!   NO docs or proof as to this just a mind thing.

However I decided to see if there were more Yaxley kiddies ---

And went through every child of the correct era/and area born to a Ralph and Susannah and or Catherine...

Sad results  ---as so many died young.. but Fruitful in that ONE of their children Susannah (again) remained single   -- working as a servant for Buccleach  ?!  (someone must know something about them)   This Susannah LEFT a WILL ... which led me to a.n.other daughter in a very 'convulated' way --- as she was married twice  and therefore children by two parents... etc etc..
What this showed me was that Ralph and Susannah were together in 1738  --- for this child to be born.

the marriage for Ralph and Katherine is 1737!!!!
and Ann was born Nov. 1737 or 1738  so ..... maybe Ann was Catherines and Catherine died straight away and he took Susannah ON  ... will keep looking for the marriage and the death of Kate cath catrine and all variables of sidderns siddon etc.. but it was good finding that Will..

nearly done with that branch... will add a few tickly bits asap..

thanks again Willsy :)

Maybe she was Katherine Susannah and generally used her second name.  Why not look for an appropriate Katherine Susannah baptism.
