Help needed to read Royal Marine Record
« on: Thursday 21 May 20 08:31 BST (UK) »
Hi, I have finally, after much searching found the military record of my Great Grandfather John White. Unfortunately I only seem to be able to see the record available on Findmypast and I don't have a high enough subscription to view it. Does anyone know if I can pay a one off fee somewhere else to download this one record? Many thanks
John

You can download his Royal Marines records free of charge from the National Archives website: https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D7776359

The document on FindMyPast is just his WW1 medal roll listing (British War Medal only). It's also on Ancestry.
