Son Harry Spinks b 1931 died 1934

We just need to find how Edith Edna Braithwaite b 1906 Newark morphed into Singleton

Her birth reg shows she was  illegitimate but I can't find a female Braithwaite marrying a male Singleton

There is a tree on Ancestry confirming she did marry Laurence Spinks etc but no parents shown.  It also shows only one child born to the marriage which is incorrect.  It seems to be the child I mentioned in my pm whose mmn was Singleton??

Says Edith died 1969 which is correct and death reg shows her birthdate as 23.12.1905 - as shown in my pm
