Date cabinet card by McAllan of Hexham

I'd be grateful for guidance for a date on this one please.

My track record on dating is very poor to say the least. I am wondering - early 1880's?

(N.B. I do have full biographical details on Thomas McAllan  )

I don't actually need to have the photo restored, but do feel free if time is hanging heavy on your hands!

1870's. A charmer isn't she.

The closest that I've found with those pleated frills is 1879 and going into the early 1880s, Jennifer

Just found one in 1875

That's lovely Jim.

I thought her skirt looked very like the one depicted one in from left on this Punch picture, which is 1881. This is why I'm confused.

They didn't have smart phones then Gadget.. if you look closely you can see it's a TV remote control.
