Brian, many thanks for the pm's and details of burials. My wife and I live in Ulverston, Cumbria, so not to far to travel to various sites. In fact we have stayed in Leeds several times whilst my wife took me to ALL the houses she have lived in until she moved away. Might get back to this post once we have assimilated all info.

Regards and keep safe,

John

My mothers father - John William Bywater - lived at 84 Fearnley Street in the 1930's according to his Army records. His wife was Clara Ibbotson and she was from a large family who lived in the Armley/Wortley area. At one time Clara lived in the Grasmeres but then moved to the Greenthorpe Estate,

My father lived at 80 Houghly Grove, Leeds during the second world war, presumably as a lodger. He married at the Church of the Venerable Bede, Leeds in 1944. The marriage was witnessed by L C Pash, who is presumably Lionel Clifton Pash mentioned above. I have a photograph taken immediately after the marriage and I wonder if Lionel Pash is among the people in the picture.
