Stewart's from Ture/3 trees Donegal
« on: Monday 01 June 20 21:07 BST (UK) »
Hi,I am new on Rootschat.
Looking for info on my Great Grandfather John Stewart (fisherman)married to Grace McCann, their son Samuel (my grandfather) and seven other siblings are shown in 1901 census, there are also other older children living nearby.
I am also interested to learn more about his father James also a fisherman from Ture/Three Trees Donegal.
Any help appreciated.

Welcome to Rootschat.

It is best to mention what information you already have- it saves us telling you what you already know. :)

This is a useful site if you want to gather certificates for Samuel and his siblings.

Here is the marriage of John and Grace from that site

Is this the death record for James Stewart in 1907 in Drumskellan?
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1907/05514/4545169.pdf

His daughter-in-law Grace Stewart was the informant.

Hi Heywood/Kiltaglasson,sorry I couldn't reply sooner I was at work.
Thank you so much for your replies,
I am working off of the 1901 census.
I'm positive that is the correct marriage record for John and Grace.
I am going to check irishgeneology (thanks for pointing me to that site) and hopefully find who Samuels siblings are as apparently there are 12 in total.
KG, I'm sure your correct with James death date, will check it this evening and maybe even find his birth year.
Thanks again    :)

PRONI in Belfast has some records for both Ballyarnett and Greenbank Presbyterian churches that may help.
Here's the link to their online search catalogue:
