Looking for your William Oatham born 1828, Writtle.

The address in the 1881 census is 137, High St. HACKNEY & gives his place of birth as Beddington, Surrey.

I have found him in the 1861 census as follows>>>

Ann  wife age 32   b   Bethnal Green
William son  age 12   b  ditto
Jane  dau age 11   b   ditto
George  son  age 7     b   ditto
Susannah ?  dau age 4   b  ditto
Edward  son age 3   b   ditto
Jemima ?  dau age 1   b  ditto

The 2 daus names were poorly written, but this is how I read them.

I have not yet found them on the 1871 census, they do not appear in the index.     Brook St & High st. are long streets to search, but perhaps the above will help.
