Wonderfull!  Thank you.  I didn't realise Brigades were raised locally. I've found some good images online of drivers with horses, mules and guns and mud, lots of mud and will research more.

For accuracy, it was the New Army brigades that could be described as locally raised as indeed were the Territorial Force brigades but as the war developed they, and the large number of regular brigades  took men from wherever.
