Looking for Joseph Frank Naudi and his family
« on: Monday 08 June 20 16:39 BST (UK) »
Joseph Frank Naudi married Caroline Kennett in Q4 1881 in East Ashford District. The had a daughter Ginevra Marguerita in Q3 1882 in Peckham. Caroline is on 1891 census with Edward Warner as his wife with Ginevra (as Warner) and two sons registered as Warners with Kennett as mmn.
Ginevra married in 1905 to Geoffrey Gerald Hayes in Greenwich district, then as a widow to Thomas Francis Manderson on 19 May 1918 in Greenwich. Joseph Naudi was a tramway inspector deceased on her 2nd marriage record.
Can anyone find Joseph Naudi on any census and Ginevra in 1901, please?
I cannot find Edward Warner or Caroline in 1901 either (perhaps both had died, or Caroline had gone off and left Edward), their two sons are with their grandmother Fanny Warner in Tonbridge.

Presumably the 1891 census  has age and place of births?
What were they?

As an uncommon surname, did you chase this one back?

I cannot find a census but there are some documents on FindMyPast about this man. He served as a Private with the 14 Hussars , date of discharge 15 April 1881 , aged 25 yrs 11 months. He had served for 5 yrs 171 days. There is a fold3 document on ancestry which I cannot access which says born about 1855 Matts ( I imagine this is Malta ) .

This doesn't add to your search but I just found a transcript of the marriage :

Joseph Frank Naudi of Peckham married Caroline Kennett 4 Oct 1881 at St Mary's Kennington -

I was married at St Mary's Kennington in 1975  :)

I've now found the image which gives Joseph's father as Michael Naudi , auctioneer
