No afraid not. I can't find a second marriage.

Thomas BRITTEN (var sp) is even more of a mystery. I can't find him in 1841 or 1851, let alone his marriage.

All I know about him is that he died on 30 Jun 1855 at 24 St Georges Place, Southwark of diabetes and phthisis. The informant was Frances BRITTAIN of the same address. He was aged 50 and a fitter.

He was buried at Victoria Park aged 50.

No idea where he was born.

PS I keep wondering why some members of the family are buried at Victoria Park rather than locally. Eliza and Thomas were both buried at Victoria. Frances herself was buried at Nunhead Cemetery.

PSS One final thing at the marriages of his children, James Snr is described as a carpenter, except at the wedding of James Jnr where he is a builder. Probably amounts to the same thing.
One other titbit of information, Frances was a seamstress and was according to 1861C deaf.

As far as I know, William died 10 Aug 1870 at Guy's Hospital of Pyaemia aged 28. He was a mercantile clerk with is consistent with his occupation in 1861 as a lawyer's clerk.

He was buried at St Giles or Nunhead in Camberrwell on 13 Aug 1870.
