23 July 1907 Passengers London to Natal. Widowed Mother and daughter
« on: Saturday 13 June 20 15:59 BST (UK) »

Whilst looking for a death date for my Helena BLYTH
BIRTH 1853 • Leicestershire, England
DEATH Unknown

I did find her on a 1907 Passenger List heading for NATAL, South Africa with her other surviving daughter:
Cecile Eujenie Silvestre
BIRTH MAR 1892 • LONDON CITY, London
DEATH Unknown
======
The husband/father appears to have died in 1893.
Emile Eugene Silvestre
1851–1893
BIRTH MAR 1851 • Regent Street, ST JAMES WESTMINSTER, London,
DEATH MAR 1893 • Holborn LONDON CITY, London, London, England

I wonder if we can find what happened to these two women?
Perhaps they moved on to New Zealand where there were other relatives?

Shawn and Sandra,
Many thanks for your very useful instant finds.
I shall now attempt to navigate these South African databases.
I see that Thomas FIELD is listed as a Railway Servant, a career that might have taken him [and his wife] across swayths of Southern Africa.

Many thanks Pam,
I will look into this person.
I originally thought SILVESTRE was a less common name, but of course have since found many with various spellings or mis-spellings!
