Polgar

Hello, I am looking for any information on Zsigmond Polgar from Hungary.
Zsigmond's son Jozsef was born in Muraratka 1927 and he married Erzsebet Jozsa b. 1929
It is believed that the family changed their name to Polgar but unclear at what time or what the original surname was.
Any information on these families would be much appreciated.

Hungarian authorities have a block on post 1920 birth information, so your focus has to be on Zsigmond.  As your imfo is a bit sketchy, and there were a number of Zsigmond Polgars, knowing Zsigmond's age, occupation or who his spouse was might help.

As for name changes, I have found 5 so far
It could have been, Stern, Politzer, Pulitzer, Weisz or Prager, but there may be others

Thank you so much for taking the time to look up the Polgàr family.
Zsigmond Polgàr b. 1904
d. 1979
His son Jozsef was born in Muraratka, Region of Zala Vermegy in 1927.
Zsigmond had a sister who lived in Budapest.
Jozsef recieved a gold watch from the government in 1950 for his efforts to help in the flood of Tisza River. I'm unsure if there are any old newspaper resources where I could look into this further?
Jozsef visited Hungary in 2003 and 2005, it's unclear what family members he saw while he was there.

Sorry to say my Hungarian resources failed to come up with anything.
Pity you dont have who Zsigmond married or more precise details of his date and place of birth.
