Hi everyone I am trying to complete some family history for a cousin.

I have traced a James Madden DOB: 9 Feb 1754 born Dublin. Married Elisabeth Moore. M: 27 April 1835 Devlin, Meath
1820 James was a Fringe Manufacturer, Residence 11 Aston’s Quay Dublin similar trade in 1823.  Not sure what this means: 1801-1825 colonial Ireland & Manchester, trade button trimming warehouse, fringe warehouse 11 Astons quay, Dublin.

I do not seem to get further back in time past 1754?

Anything will be better than nothing..

So to be clear, are you saying that James Madden was 81 when he married Elisabeth Moore in 1835?

My source for the marriage date was from the Ireland catholic parish records 1655-1915/microfilm 04172/07 and of course I may have selected the wrong James Madden,I have checked another source there is another James Madden marrying an Elizabeth 1794 ?
