Hull census look up of address please

[Nick Carver]

My ggrandfather William was born in 1856 when his parents (John & Charlotte Carver) were living in 10 Hodgson St in Hull. John died in 1878 and in the 1881 census Charlotte is recorded as living at 12 Hodgson St in Hull on her own. Does anyone have access to the census records from 1851, 61 and 71 for those addresses? I have not managed to track down any siblings for William to date. Many thanks in advance.

That's a great help. Thanks very much indeed. Norfolk is a huge place and I suspected that quoting Norwich as his place of origin was just a convenience as being a place that others might recognise. Now I  have a much better chance of finding his roots.

My planned line of attack was via John & Charlotte's wedding certificate, which would be one of the earlier records post 1837, but hopefully I can make some progress awaiting that and use it as confirmation of the names of his parents.
