Hello.

Have you looked up the address with Papers Past?

https://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/newspapers?items_per_page=100&phrase=2&query=17+Railway+Avenue+Lower+Hutt&snippet=true&sort_by=byDA

Adverts give the following surnames at that address. EVANS, in July 1933;  HENRY, in September 1939; and PIERSON, in 1941.

Hi kiwi jeanie

I have checked electoral roll(s) and some other resources in search of "Nita" - unfortunately nothing really jumps out.

Have also looked at the families who lived at the Railway Avenue address (as per the helpful info provided by Fresh Fields, earlier.)    Again, nothing of interest re: "Nita" or similar.
Seems "No. 17 Railway Avenue" may have been a place of multiple occupancy ? ? - (found evidence that the "L. EVANS family" and the "PIERSON family" both had that address, mid to late 1930's - however only the PIERSONs - Thomas and Ada, were listed there on the 1935 e/roll).

*   How is it that you have the name "Nita" ... and her 1935 address ??

Happy to look further for you if you can give any additional info.

Hello again.

As Lu implies "Nita" can be a nick name, or shortened version of several names.
Eg: Anita,  Ana and feminine names that end in -nita, such as Benita, Bonita, Danita, or Juanita.
