Yes her life and death is well documented a lot of which is heresay etc

There is not much point in looking for a birth of an Edna DALEY if there is a possibility that it was not her birth name.

Missing, since the 20th ultimo, from her home, 237 Sydenham-road, Marrickville - EDNA McGILVRAY,
23 years of age, short stout build, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes; dressed in a one-piece brown silk dress, black hat, black shoes and grey stockings; accompanied by a male child 3 years of age. Information to her step-father, Thomas Stanley Daley, at the above address.

Eustace was born c1906 and when he married in 1925 he said his mother was May MORRISON.  Thomas DALEY married May T. MORRISON in Sydney in 1900.

Juliet Rosalind said she was born 14 May 1914 at Rose Bay when she enlisted in 1942.

Her birth was registered in 1908 at Marrickville.  If Thomas and May moved around after marriage perhaps they didn't bother to register whichever, if any, of the other children were theirs at birth.  Maissie's birth certificate should give details of previous issue.

As regards to a 1908 registration in NSW  it isn't  showing on the NSW BDM website under Daley
  Her sister Esther registration is
