Oh My Golly Goodness I think you have got it Sherlock!  The King Street COnnection is there and also the Name TAYLOR on Michael Murray and Hannah Bryan's marriage Sept 7 1851 the witness is a ?? Taylor and George harwood.  I will do my best to try and link all this together.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.   If on your travels you come across James MUrray and Possibly Mary's Marriage that would be sensational.  From me to you... THANK YOU SO MUCH.

See reply #15 above.

Some caution may be needed, as the surnames MURRAY and TAYLOR are both pretty common. I've just posted these records as 'possibles'. More research needed.

ADDED - I think the Wm Taylor who witnessed the 1819 marriage may be a church employee, as he witnessed several other marriages in the register. If so, he can't be relied on as a link.

Thank you although it seems very likely. I found that their daughter bridget Married George Harwood.  He was the witness to her brother Micheal (1830) marriage to Haanah Bryan (Johanna Brian). also married in St Giles i the fields.

I found James marriage to Mary Mason.  He was born 1897 they married in 1819 St Giles i the fields.  I am on a roll I would say. All thanks to you. xxxxxx

Michael is my direct ancester - he had James - James (1855???) had Thomas - Thomas (1879) had Thomas William 1912 and Thomas had my dad Allan Thomas Murray 1938 (deceased also) Now to find GGG James's Info and we could tie this together. I believe he may hav died around 1903 at a guess.

I just need to connect James Murray ???1855???) with Micheal Murray 1830 through birth or baptism and I might just have the correct line.

Baptism at Holy Family (Roman Catholic), Saffron Hill, Holborn
(translated from Latin)
On the 17th day of February 1856 was born, and on the 2nd day of March 1856 was baptised, James Murrey, son of Michael Murrey and Joanna Murrey (formerly Brien), married couple; godfather was John Brien, godmother was Mary Lorden[?]
By me, Cornelius James Keens

No birth registration found.

I think probably not, as mother's maiden name for this one is RICE ...

Maybe they first registered him as Daniel and then had a change of mind before the baptism ?

GRO Births index
MURRAY, DANIEL       BRYAN
GRO Reference: 1856  M Quarter in WEST LONDON  Volume 01C  Page 50

West London is a near-enough registration district (adjacent to Holborn), and the baptism shows his birth in February, so it's the right quarter too.

It might be worth ordering the birth certificate to find out, but it's a gamble.
