Hi Ladyhawk

I've just looked at the All Saints Bts and the only Jane Anderson marrying an Armstrong in 1819 has the Groom as Edward Armstrong.
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HY-DYXS-3V8?i=388&cc=1309819

(though FS seems to being having a bit of a bad day today so unsure if that image will show at the mo even when someone is signed in.

So I think 10KEN needs to provide a bit more info about where he has the info from and how certain he is about that census in Ovington.

The youngest child on those census returns Ladyhawk found was a Joseph aged 2 in 1841 and 12 in 1851, birthplace Bewcastle (which is in Longtown civil registration district)
According to the GRO births search this is the only likely registration:

births 1838 Q4 Longtown Joseph Armstrong MMN Riddle

I think it was Edward Armstrong she married. He was a woodman and died 1840. Jane and her children are in High Callerton, Ponteland in the 1841 and 1851 census( not in Cumberland) In the latter daughter Isabella is showing as Isa, son Edward (also a woodman) as Edw and son Joseph  simply by the initial J. Edwards death notice is in the newspaper archive ( Newcastle Courant 18 Sept 1840 -died 3 Sept age 53).

Given familysearch difficulties will not provide census links but burial for Edward senior and baptisms for Joseph and Isabella are in Ponteland Bts. Baptism for Edward Jun. in Newcastle All Saints.

I saw that one too, however until we know how the OP got back to this census in Ovington its anyone's guess as to what we are looking for :-)
The parents of a ? Armstrong he has traced back to
OR a Jane Anderson from Whickham and where she got to
OR numerous other possible scenarios.
:-)

Give us some more detail 10KEN and we'll have a go at it.

I think it was Edward Armstrong she married. He was a woodman and died 1840. Jane and her children are in High Callerton, Ponteland in the 1841 and 1851 census

well spotted jonw65 :-)

Though if we 'd had a first name for the spouse and a census ref or details of the census return it would have been simpler.
10KEN, that is not a criticism, I know its sometimes hard to know what info to include in a query, but just a pointer that a little more detail really helps other to help you more efficiently.
