Please can someone help
I am researching Phillip Thomas born 1771  am unsure of his place of Birth or his wife
He had two children  Margaret Thomas born 1801 (died 1851) Married to John Davies and Henry Thomas born 1804 who emigrated to Australia in 1823
Phillip worked as a manager for Brown Lennox at Pontypridd and with Samuel Brown invented a machine for bending and scarfing links in preparation for making them into chains.
Phillip Thomas died 1840/41  Pontypridd  Glamorgan

I was intrigued by an item in the Glamorgan Brecon and Monmouth Gazette, 24 Oct 1835 about the marriage of E Thomas, Eglwysilian, daughter of Philip Thomas of the Chain Cable Works, Newbridge.
This led to the burial on FindMyPast of Philip Thomas, 21 Mar 1840 at Eglwysilan, age 69 (born c. 1771)

Is the burial "your" Philip?
