there are a couple of interesting documents on south west devon archives that could be my Mary.

firstly

Mary Littejohn, singlewoman, to be removed from Alverdiscott to Milton Damerel
Date   : November 30th 1747

(Jeremiah her son was baptized in December of 1747 in Milton Dameral, just after the removal order which would tie in), perhaps being pregnant or already given birth with an illegitimate son she was forced to return to her own parish.

But there is also this:

William Turpine of Ottery St. Mary, labourer, is bound to appear at the next Sessions, to abide by such orders as he will be given concerning a bastard child by Mary Littlejohn of Payhembury, singlewoman. Sureties: Nathaniel Turpine of Ottery St. Mary, yeoman, and Joseph Whitford of Ottery St. Mary, taylor
Date   : 14 November 1747

which could also be her, although Payhembury is over an hour away from Milton Damerel. But maybe they are both her?

Does anyone know if more detailed info would be on these documents if I try and order copies through South West Devon Archives.
