If Mary Garrod was born in Hackney, have you thought about posting a question about the marriage on the Middlesex board? Often, though not always, marriages were in the bride's parish? Put a link to this thread so people have all the info to save doubling up.

Arthur inch born November 3rd 1856 and baptised 25 Dec 1856. Parents walter and Sarah.
Charles is Arthur’s brother ... baptised as a one year old in 1866 belchamp St. Paul also.

Arthur’s parents (Walter and Sarah) married Oct 18th 1856 ... just in time 🤣 also belchamp St. Paul, her maiden name reeve. Her father Thomas. His father William. She was from belchamp otten.

Sarah baptised 1 Dec 1831 belchamp otten to Thomas and Ann.

Another thought ... although maiden name Garrod on her children’s birth records, her surname wouldn’t have been Garrod if she’d been a widow at her marriage to Arthur? Just a possibility?
