I am looking for death of John jones born 1884 treherbert. Last known address was 15 Halifax terrace tynewydd treherbert wife Catherine mary jones
Died between 1949 and 1958. Any ideas where to look please. Such a common name thanks

Unless he had a middle name there are 10 possibilities in that timescale.

It can be narrowed down by determining which registration district Treherbert came under but I can't seem to find that at the moment.  Think it may have been Pontypridd in which case it's not good news as 7 of the 10 were registered in Pontypridd

Was Treorchy a registration district?  Doesn't appear on the list on freebmd

My childhood was spent 2 streets away from Halifax its in Tynewydd  Rhondda.
I did know a Jones family do you have any of John childrens name please was one Emrys JOnes and  lived at Halifax. 
 Most Births Marriage and Deaths where registered at Pontypridd Glamorgan
 The cemetery is at Treochy   Rhondda Glamorgan
 There is a local  facebook group    `Treherbert  Tynewydd Blaenrhondda  Blaencwm`
