Thank you so much for that information - I'll forward copies of the 1911 census entries to the researcher. I've looked up the births of the children from the adopted families and neither the married or the maiden surnames seem to relate to the original family. But the information given by Grace Hurst herself was that she had a wonderful childhood in Sussex and a great school. So any further information on schools in the area and how to access records would be very much appreciated. Although we're all anxiously awaiting the release of the 1921 census in 2022 the researcher would dearly love to know more earlier than that.
