Booth Family (also Pankhurst, Beeney, Errey), Dallington
« on: Sunday 19 July 20 14:58 BST (UK) »
Using DNA matches that my brother and I have accumulated over the past few years (Ancestry), I have determined that my grandfather (our mother was born to a single mother in 1923) was one of the three sons of Nelson and Caroline Matilda (Pankhurst) Booth of Dallington, Sussex.
I have done a bit of work now on tracing the ancestors of Caroline and Nelson but would like to know if anyone out there close-ish ties to this family, or has photos they might be willing to share.
Nelson was the son of Trayton Booth II and Ellen Beeney and Caroline the daughter of Isaiah Pankhurst and Mary Errey.

There is a tree on Ancestry you may want to take a look at.

Eldest son Wesley married 1920
Bernard married 1919 in Devon
Bryan Swift Booth married in Kent 1927
Census Information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk
Carlin (Ireland & Liverpool) Doughty & Wright (Liverpool) Dick & Park (Scotland & Liverpool)

Thank you Carole. I hadn’t found the marriage for Wesley so will look into that.
Just wanted to add that I was lucky and found photos (fuzzy) of the three brothers in the newspaper on BNA...all three served in WWI.  I have a photo that was in my mother’s papers, no clue who he is for sure, but there is a resemblance to one of the three.  Would love to see other photos to compare.

I wondered whether dates of marriage could help for elimination purposes ;D

Possibly!  My mother’s maternal cousin told me that he was single at the time, but you know how family stories can be!
At this point I am happy to know he was one of the three.  I may never know which one, of course.
