help please with 1837 marriage in clapham
« on: Sunday 19 July 20 21:00 BST (UK) »
Please can anyone help?
I know that Elizabeth Titterington married John Johnson in Clapham on 22/7/1837. Please could anyone help me by looking up the details, especially the fathers names?
I'd be very grateful for any help.
Thanks,
Kit

There are a few JOHNSON trees on Ancestry that have his parents as Matthew JOHNSON and Mary MASHITER. He was born 19 Jul 1811 at Garstang, Lancashire.

Elizabeth was daughter of Richard TITTERINGTON and Jane NICHOLSON. She was baptised 22 Jul 1820 Clapham.

Banns were read in Melling, Lancashire as well.

Witnesses to wedding were brother Matthew JOHNSON and Mary NICHOLSON.
