Interesting, in youngest sibling WALTON Hartley's marriage, he marries a Louisa ROBERTS, and a witness is a Roberts, too - could Mum have been widowed and re-married, and then Ann gone by the surname Roberts, until her own marriage?

Good find, that "Garnet" for Sarah Hartley's maiden name, johnhood.

Appears there is a change in mmn between sq 1840 with the birth of a Henry Hartley mmn recorded as GARNES. Previous birth in dq 1838 was Hannah Hartley mmn GARNETT.
The next birth is sq 1841 John WALTON Hartley mmn WALTON, followed by Blakey, Brice & Walton

We appear to have a mixture of mmn Walton /Garnett/Garnet/Garnes.
