I am going to search the Scottish Censuses to see if I can find Eliza Rodgers in1841.  I am not at all sure who her parents are apart from on Family Search they are listed as Thomas and Martha Mary but I'm not convinced by this. Thank you again for all your advice and help. I have Charles and Eliza living in Houghton Regis Nr. Dunstable in 1851,

I've searched the Scottish Census records and after quite a search I think I have found an Eliza ROGERS (not Rodgers) age 10 working as an F S which I think means female servant in a household in St.Davids.  She does not appear on the 1841 census with a Rodgers family at all. So I'm no further discovering her parents names which is a pity. I found a Thomas Rodgers in Barony on the 1841 census but no Eliza living with them.

Well done Freesia -- yes FS does mean Female Servant AND she is shown as born in Ireland.

Maybe she was orphaned by then.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.
