Hello,

Seeking birth and death record for Marjorie A Meredith nee Shaw.

I can find a Marjorie Meredith who deceased in 1986 and another in 1983 but the dates don't fit. Can anyone help please?

I don't know her birth date.

Marriage: March 1957 to Derek G MEREDITH

Emigrated to Australia, where Derek died in 2001.
Her family say she then came back to the UK and died here, near Billericay, Essex, they believe. Links to Wandsworth, London. I didn't ask when she died. I should have, I know, but I thought I should also be able to find it, and I can't.

Have you any idea when she emigrated, if it was after 1957 her marriage cert would give you an approximate age which you can work back towards a birthdate and possibly find on 1939

Hi all, thanks for these replies.

LM - yes, we are dealing with a different branch of the Digby family. The grandma was Elsie Digby b1903 d 1999 m Ernest Trickett as her second husband (but her first husband was George Meredith b 1901 d 1934). I believe she then lived with Ernest Trickett for some time before finally marrying him; I have him with her (and the rest of the Digbys) at 6 Killarney Rd, SW18 as early as 1935.

The son Derek Meredith would have emigrated after 1978; either late 1970s or first half of 1980s, I believe; would love to find an immigration record.

100 Bramfield Rd is the correct address and prior to that they were at 6 Killarney Rd SW18.

The marriage record you have found is the one I found too.
