Look up ER record Ernest G WILLMOTT

Hello, I am trying to find out for sure how many children my ancestors had, and then ultimately to try and find my cousins and second cousins. I have done some guesswork on the following but need to prove if Maud and Ernest did actually have the children I think they had.

My relative: Maud Walpole, Norfolk to parents Harriet Pidgeon Walpole (nee Howlett) and Houghton Walpole. (what a name!)

Maud looks like she married 25/3/1928 to Ernest G Willmott. The marriage cert is online and Houghton is named as her father. Ernest was born 6/12/1893 and is named as a widower on their marriage cert. They married in Southwark St Paul, Lorrimore Square, London.

However I think Ernest died in Devon 2/12/64 and I think Maud died in Devon 1987.

This is all best guess work but I wonder if I actually have the correct people?

The only 1939 register I can find for a couple in the same name is for an address in Chatham, Kent, but there are no children listed for the couple on the register. Maud's dob on there is  b 4/8/1897 - but is it the correct person?

When I do a FreeBMD birth search, three children come up for bring born to these names. They may be alive so I don't want to name them, but the surname for a 1930 birth in Lambeth is Willmott (MMN Walpole) and then two children born Medway in Mar 1932 and Sept 1933.

But they would have probably been on the 1939 register so perhaps I have gone wrong somewhere? I am still new to this and would love some help. Pls PM if you find out anything about the children eg an ER with them on it, or marriages or children of their own.

Would the children have been sent away during the war?, where ever they went if they are still alive they wouldn't be listed on 1939

not sure about 3rd child

There is a family tree on Ancestry for this family, you should have no problem searching for them
