Jane was b Dec qtr 1902 and there is a Jane Burke b 1901 in the Prestwich asylum - married

Nothing for any of the children but they were all under 21 in 1939 so possibly entries are still redacted

Where was Jane born? Do you have her in 1911, Carole?

Her birth was registered in Manchester and 1911 shows that as her birthplace

Daughter Rita (married name Casey) b 19.10.1931 died 1997 Salford 

I would have expected their 1939 entries to be available

I think her MMN was Marshall but her younger brother, Samuel (after his father) had a different MMN... Dixon. Strange. When Samuel the father died, (death date unknown) Her mother, Jane remarried James Franklin. (again could not find the marriage)

There is a Samuel Beard mmn Dixon born 1905 Rochdale. This child is in 1911 with mother and Dixon grandparents in Rochdale.

I know I am going off the main search here with regard to Jane (mother of Jane).

I can’t see a Beard marriage, nor a Franklin marriage as you say.

Shows Samuel and Janey Beard both b Manchester, 1877,  living in Liverpool. He is a Hawker.

James Franklin is a Fruit Hawker in 1911.

I don't mind going off the main search as I am struggling with the Beard side also.

I could not find either marriages for Janey to Samuel or James & a birth for Samuel Jnr

Again, a death for Samuel Snr is also elusive
