Oh gosh it does sound straightforward until you see the map and imagine the scene, it must have been a terrifying nightmare.

The aerial photo is of the area centred on Gloster Farm (which was probably no more than a small heap of rubble), covering the lower left quadrant of square V 20.   It covers most of the ground over which 6 Y&L were fighting.

Just out of interest the ANZAC's were the other side of the black line
Square 4 (Belle Vue Spur) can just be seen at the bottom right corner of the battlefield map.
