Thank you all very much.  In trying to be brief, I went about this all wrong.  The parents of the baby I am looking for are Arthur and Rose Wilson.  I thought Edith might fit the bill because Edith is a family name. Arthur and Rose had 4 children and according to 1911 census one died. I am trying to find that one.  There is another baby named Evelyn Wilson that was born and died in Sept of 1905. Arthur and Rose named a living child Evelyn later on. Not very good at this, but will keep trying.  Thanks again!

Have you searched the GRO birth index using Wilson as surname & Rose's maiden name between their marriage and 1911? Have you found the baptisms of the 3 children you know about & then searched through the baptisms at the same church again between marriage and 1911?

ADDED: Is it this marriage?
Marriages Jun 1903
Skipworth    Rose Emma        Grimsby    7a   1649
Wallis    Rose        Grimsby    7a   1649
West    Tom        Grimsby    7a   1649
Wilson    Arthur        Grimsby    7a   1649

ADDED 2: If you are going by the number of children born live/still alive columns in 1911 - there was occasionally some misunderstanding. Some parents included a child who did not have a birth or death registered - perhaps stillborn or miscarried.
Seeking: RC baptism Philip Murray Feb ish 1814 ? nr Chatham Kent.

Oh, you beat me to it !

If that is the marriage, there are these baptisms, Grimsby, form FreeReg.
All parents Arthur and Rose.
James Arthur 1903
Evelyn 29th October 1906
Alfred 15th February 1911 (birth date 3rd Jan 1911)
Jessie 15th February 1911 ( birth date 2nd Jan 1911 !! )

Sadly, Alfred was buried 3rd March 1911 at Grimsby Cemetery, an infant.

There seems to be a gap

Oh well found - the 1911 states 4 children 3 alive, so Alfred is the missing one.

Thank you so very much...that is my family all right.  :) And Alfred and Jessie must be twins!  Also appreciate the reference to Free Reg ... I have been trying to piece things together with FreeBMD UK. Am anxious to explore some of these other websites.  You all have been wonderfully helpful

I put the family together from the 1911, then worked around that info !
(I owe a lot to FreeReg !)

Alfred died at 1 month old which must have been very sad for the family, so is Alfred your missing child ?

You could also try LincstothePast, but not all records are on the website, some are only on microfiche at various archives/libraries. Not possible to visit at the moment but "one" day things will be open again!
