Coal Miners were not conscripted. Had he been in the Army it would have been his choice.

Still hoping we can find out if Harry Holland was in the army or not, we have only recently been told that he volunteered for the army and did not have to enlist because he was a collier, so don't know if or when he enlisted and how long or where he did his service? Can't understand why my uncle brought it up if it was not true? Thanks

Loyal North Lancashire Regiment- Richard Noonan.

He was in his 50s when he signed up!

If you could send me an email address in a private message, I will send you a copy of his records.
