Greetings Heywood,
For some reason 'the 1843 original document' did not get posted here, showing Hariet BRETT with parents Henry BRETT [County Surveyor] and Mary HENRY.

But I find the 'County Surveyor' might applied to several generations of BRETTs in partnership.

In 1901 is the 'Sister' show looking after her brothers in Dublin.

Wellington Road, Pembroke West, Dublin, Ireland
Relation to Head:   Sister
Occupation:   Manager on of household

Brothers of Hariet BRETT:
Henry Charles BRETT [Head] C.E. Head Inspector Land Import Dept B P W
Joseph P BRETT Practising Barrister
John H BRETT  C E County Surveyor for as Antrim.  Visitor.

To add for you to work things out
John Brett died 1871 aged 63 yrs

Newspaper described him as John Brett snr.

There are other Bretts in Tubbercurry and Andrew who died 1886 described as only surviving son.

If you were interested in these you would need to read the newspaper articles.

I don’t quite understand the ‘Merchant’ reference in the probate if he was a land steward /owner.
