Tribal Pages Gedcom only saving as word format (Windows 10).....Sorted

Up until a few weeks ago I could download and save my files from TP in ged format but since the recent update they download and I have to open the file before the option to save. They open in as a text file and can only be saved as a text file not the .ged format.

Any suggestions please?

Ah, they're going to a download file in ged format so have to be moved across manually, any attempt to open them as prompted by Win10 opens them as a word file.

Ensure you have at least an extra copy of the file.

Ensure the filenamecopy is "anythingsomethingelse.GED" [ rename it ]
You are going to work with "anythingsomethingelse.GED", Rightclick/openwith whatever program you used before the upgrade.
Did that work? If yes then that's what you are working with longterm.
