Make sure you have them mounted in the right order. We have some (given as a gift) which are mounted in the wrong order - they seem to be cemented on and won’t budge.  :)

The people we used were able to source new ribbons as well. But I have no idea how.

There are a number of places where you can get replacement ribbons from, and a number of places that supply replica medals.

This one is in Australia but there are bound to be many similar companies worldwide:
https://militaryshop.com.au/features/medals.html

Google words like .... medal mounting framing replacement ribbons and a location .... and you should find a specialist, though normal framers should also be able to do it.

There is more to mounting medals than simply lining them up in order.
For example are they for wearing, two different styles, swing mounting or court mounting?
Are they for display?
Do you have the memorial scroll, do you want that included in the display?

There are many more things to think about and a specialist medal mounting company (such as Empire Medals or The London Medal Company) will be able to advise you whereas picture mounting companies may not know or ask the right details.

Cheers

I used the Worcestershire Medal Service www.worcmedals.com many times and was always very impressed with the result. They now have a Royal Warrant which also says a lot regarding their quality and knowledge.
(1) Janions of Cheshire, Lancashire, Hawaii, Vancouver and Seattle.
(2) Gregorys of Tarporley, Cheshire.
(3) Pughs of 'The New Pale' near Frodsham and Delamere in Cheshire.
(4) Nevills of Llanelly, Llangennech and Felinfoel.
(5) Yaldens of Ovington/Lovington in Hampshire.
